I live in South Korea and created this blog to share Korea from the perspective of someone who experiences everyday life here.
Korea is often introduced through famous tourist attractions, K-pop, K-dramas, and popular food. Those are all part of Korea, but there is much more to the country than what usually appears in travel guides or social media.
On this blog, I write about the small details of Korean life and culture that I notice around me — from everyday habits and food to travel, social trends, history, and the way Koreans think about certain traditions and issues.
I don’t currently live in Seoul, but I visit the city often and spend time in different parts of Korea. When I write about a place or experience I know personally, I try to include what I have actually seen, noticed, or experienced rather than simply repeating information that can be found elsewhere online.
For historical, social, or factual topics, I also research reliable sources to provide the necessary background and context. My goal is to combine that information with a Korean perspective and my own observations whenever they are relevant.
English is my second language, so I sometimes use tools such as Gemini and Google Translate to help with translation and editing. These tools help me express my ideas more clearly in English, but I personally review and edit the articles before publishing them. The experiences, observations, opinions, and perspectives are my own.
Korea Core Info is not meant to be an encyclopedia about Korea.
It is a place where I can share the Korea I know — the ordinary things I grew up with, the things I still notice in daily life, and the details that might be interesting or unfamiliar to someone visiting from another country.
